<p>No pedals and not a motorcycle, maybe it is a scooter or pocket bike. On sunny days I can charge using solar pannels and sunshine.</p>
<p>Thekpv gained momentum in the summer of 2008 by Terry Hope. After approximately a thousand hours of e-bike research and development his DIY micro mobility electric vehicle concept materialized with four goals:</p>
<p>Engineer a electrical circuit with an mechanical system to capture, store and harvest electrical power.</p>
<p>Use alternative energy for a prototype electro-solar hybrid.</p>
<p>Eliminate extra greenhouse gas emissions and lower the carbon footprint by recharging the battery pack off-the-grid.</p>
<p>Construct a vehicle with a solar pannels &amp; small enough foot print to be stowed away inside a Samsonite suitcase for easy transport.</p>

<br />I think someone may have been confused and been talking about solar water heating panels, which can give a lot more in a hot area, simply because the air temperature is already warm, and the average sun-hours per day is higher.  My brother&#8217;s house in Hawaii can get away with a smaller panel for his water heater than would be needed in (say) Michigan.</p>
<p>Solar electric panels are more efficient at colder temperatures.  But even at cold, there isn&#8217;t even a 2x output compared to the hottest day.</p>
