Both ‘houses’ of thought on the Evolution-Creation Science Debate have always got it wrong. Both! Neither really understand what The Word reveals about the Truth of the Creation of all this.

This is especially a shame to the Creationists, who purport to know the Word, but do not—all the while attempting to make Yahweh appear as a Magician. They’re fools! Yahweh is a Super-Naturalist!

One – Yahweh has the Power to stop the orbits of our Solar System as He did for "about a whole day" in the infancy of Israel’s History as a Nation (Joshua 10:12-14). Makes the parting of the Red Sea seem ‘insignificant by comparison’, does it not?

Two – Yahweh possesses the Power to affect reverse orbit of the various celestial bodies within our Solar System, turning them about into a direction opposite their original-design travel (2 Kings 20:9-11).

Three – I think it very reasonable to accept the Biblical evidence. After all, He did design this Creation! Do you believe that you would design, produce, and market a product that you could not understand, control, or manipulate? How do you think? See Proverbs 3:5, cl. 2; 23:4; and, Romans 12:16, sent. 3.

Four – If this Biblical testimony is reliable, then it should also be very easy to conclude that Yahweh has the Power to cause the orbit of our Solar System to advance at such an incredibly slow rate of speed as to facilitate, or give Him ‘time’, for the making of this beautiful Creation! (It is going to be better than ever in approximately 1,003 years!)

Or, let’s look at it another way: If there had been a Stopwatch used to measure and record the amount of ‘time’ it took for the six Days of Creation, that watch might have easily indicated 6,000 years from beginning to completion.

However, this would not have changed the fact that this ‘time’ was still only six (6) "evenings and mornings"—Six literal Days!

Contemplative meditation of these facts makes it much easier to understand how we can see Starlight from Celestial Bodies that are more than 6,000 Light Years Distance from Earth!

Argue with the Biblical Evidence all you like. It sure enough clears up all the confusion though!

Nate, you’ve got it wrong. You see, it’s the Spirit of the One Who wrote that Word living in me that testifies to its verity. That is why it all makes so much sense.

Mike K, you are correct in this. But, I think you only offer that argument because you do not feel a need to try and convince others of the Truth of His Existence. Of course, I understand that we don’t all have the same spiritual gifts, teaching for example. However, you shouldn’t chastise others for attempting to bring blindness to light. You are a Theistic Evolutionist it sounds like, but you do not understand how that makes you to refute the very Word you purport to believe. You don’t really believe it; and that is because you have not had your understanding fully opened by Him yet!

I see in a lot of the responses to your question evidences which lend credence to many written truths addressed in the Word concerning the current state of ‘christianity’. I’ll address some of those truths now; however, I’ll waste no time on the apparent state of unbelief borne by at least five of these answers.

I think that Publius more-closely and rightly answers your question in theme and scope than anyone thus far. However, it is also apparent by his words ("I think that the stages of creation were not 24-hour days") that he does not get the gist of the Testimony of Scripture you referenced, i.e., Joshua 10:12-14 and 2 Kings 20:9-11. He hasn’t thoroughly considered the implications there. Consequently, he has still yet to understand just how Omnipotent is our Creator Yahweh (I AM THAT I AM).

I can see in his words ". . .They were simply stages in the terraforming process God undertook to make this planet habitable" that he adheres more to modern ’science’ than does he what true science actually is based on revelations of such as contained in The Word.

However, he also states, “I think it is more accurate to say that mortal human history will span six or seven thousand years.” He is correct in this supposition; and, I use the term ‘supposition’ because it is also apparent that he hasn’t carefully considered the implications of 2 Peter 3:8 (and its preceding and proceeding text) in order to properly ascertain that ‘supposition’. His measure of true faith may in fact be a suppositional matter, and not given to him by The Creator (Ephesians 2:8–9).

That is where the majority are going wrong: Leaning to their own understanding instead of that which Yahweh gives when He opens the understanding. This is the result of not taking seriously what He has left us as the Truth of all that is around us: His Word, Christ!

Yes, both the Creationists and Evolutionists have it wrong. They have it wrong because even though they do in fact possess an enormous amount of knowledge, they also desire to argue with each other–––motivated by desires to exalt themselves! (see 1 Corinthians 13:11, “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”)

What concerns me the most is that the Creation-Science Advocates represent themselves to the unknowing as pleading their cases for God and His Word. But after studying closely the books I have read on the subject, and my own study of God’s Word, what is become apparent to me is this: The Creation-Science ‘house’ is not fully conscious of its own true motives. You see, they too are puffed up on all-knowing scholarship and learning. That, and like so many children they only wish to argue. See 1 Corinthians 13:11 again.

If the Creationists were to conduct a comprehensive study of the Word, moving on past the first Chapter through to the 197th Chapter–––and onto the 333rd Chapter of God’s Word–––they would discover that their ‘scientific explanations’ are completely useless.

They would eventually discover that the debate with heathen Evolution Science and its advocates is an offense to Jehovah–God.

Yahweh does not desire ignorant worship or adoration!

He prefers that they simply remain silent, because they are confusing the issues, being used by Satan as vassals of his own self–exaltation (Ezekiel 28:15)–––which also reveals why so many listen to them. [It can be safely stated that people who seek their own glory appeal to the desire for self-exaltation in those who receive them. Carefully consider this!]

Additionally, the Creationists would discover that Yahweh will not be misrepresented by anyone! That is why their ‘message’ has so little power, because He can not ‘bless’ the world through their false message. It would run contrary to His Nature to do so. (This remark in no way pertains to the Evolutionists. God doesn’t even account for them as worthy of anything but the giving over to of a darkened mind.)

Through a thorough, comprehensive study of The Word these Creationists would also discover that they and their colleague’s minds have been as darkened and their understanding as closed as the day they were born. With prayer, and a little luck, they would not call a World-Wide Convention–––arranged specifically for the purpose of performing a lobotomy procedure on the frontal cerebral cortex of each other–––just to ensure that they avoid their foolishness from then on.

With prayer, maybe they would join the [evidently thin] ranks of those who do actually study the Word of God.

I see the intent you have necessarily injected into this question. Your intent is to show support for what our God’s Word actually says; moreover, what sufficient study of It reveals! Good question, and very thought-provoking it was.
