Build Your Own Solar Panels

Build Your Solar Panels
Has the price of electricity and gas got you feeling nervous about the future? If it hasn’t, then it definitely should as the trend of price increases is set to continue in the future.
At the minute the majority of people are able to survive without having to make any real sacrifice. However, as the price of oil gravitates upwards, the price of everything else associated with oil will also increase. This means food prices will increase as transportation costs increase – definitely not something that can be sustained by the majority of people.
Are you a person who is interested in green energy and using Solar Energy Panels or creating your own Home Wind Power, then you are just like myself. I have had a keen interest in green energy every since I studied Architecture many many years ago. At that time I learned that is was possible to build homes that are completely self sufficient which was so compelling to me I had to know more.
You already know the costs of running your home and how tight your budget is – would it be possible to afford the same lifestyle if the cost of everything increased by 50% or more?

Is the “Green DIY Energy” guide for building solar panels a scam?
Harnessing free sunlight to help save money on electrical bills is a great concept isn’t it?
My Father and I thought this exact same thing, that using homemade solar panels could be a wonderful way to save money. The reason my father and I wanted to look into diy solar panels, was because my father had purchased a farm to retire in and using homemade solar panels would certainly offset his monthly expenses giving both him and his wife more money each month to do other things once they retired.
Also this is Green Energy, solar panels are great for the environment and also for the pocket book. Why didn’t everyone do this years ago I ask?
Well to continue, we decided to look into the possibilities of building our own homemade solar panels and just needed a very good diy solar panel guide. Our search started on the internet, and we found that there are many diy solar panel guides out there and lots of information. It took us some time to go through all the information that the sites had on diy solar panel guides. Once we went through all the solar panel information we filtered our list. First we filtered it down from 8 to 6, 6 to 4, then from 4 to 2 and ended up deciding on these two diy solar panel guides below which met our criteria and purchased them.
Are you a person who is interested in green energy and using Solar Energy Panels or creating your own Home Wind Power, then you are just like myself. How to Lower My Energy Bill
Posted by Admin in Reduce Energy Usage on July 28th, 2010
If coping with energy bill is your problem every time you see your bills, here are several ways you can start implementing to lower your energy bill. First, I want to say that doing all the recommended actions below will certainly lower your energy bill – however, in this busy world, there is a low cost energy reduction solution that’s more practical (turnkey) and does not require you to change your lifestyle drastically. You can see for yourself here: http://www.ultrapowersaver.com
Having said that, here are some of our recommended actions to lower your energy bill:
1) Provide good roof coating.
A good roof coating deflects heat. And so, insuring that the roof receives a good coating would mean insuring you that your house would maintain good temperature on the inside.
2) Secure all the leaks.
Leaks contribute to high cost of home energy. Why? It is because air from your house can easily come out from these leaks. And the air from the outside can easily enter the house. Both increase the workload of your heating and cooling system.
Making sure that the leaks are sealed would mean less work on your heating and cooling system and lower energy bills. Leaks would come from fireplaces, ducts, doors, ceilings, floors, walls, windows, plumbing penetrations, electrical outlets, fans, and vents.
3) Reduce the thermostat.
One degree centigrade is equivalent to 5% electric bill savings. Therefore, keeping your thermostat low will save you a lot of money. A total saving would also come from switching your thermostat further low when you are not home or if you are sleeping. The ideal temperature during winter is not higher than 68 degrees Fahrenheit.
4) Reduce the use of your water heater.
The second largest electric consumer next to your heating and cooling system is your water heater. When you wash you clothes, you don’t need to heat the water up. Just use the water from the faucet. This will save you by as much as 90% in washing machine energy consumption.
5) Use energy efficient material around your home.
There are commercially available materials that would significantly contribute to the reduction of the cost of home energy. One of these is energy efficient windows (i.e. dual pane window) that deflect the outside temperature (whether during winter or summer) from entering your home.
6) Use your appliance efficiently.
It is pretty basic for all of us to turn off televisions, air conditioning, stereos and other electronic gadgets when not using them. However, most still disregard this. The reality is; we can save a lot if we only learn how to turn them off if not in use. Also, small things such as iPod chargers, cellphone chargers, digital clocks, lights and other things that seem to consume small electric current that remain plugged day in and day out contribute to your energy bill. Making sure you unplug them would certainly lower down your monthly electric consumption.
Hope this helps!

The energy cost is increasing day by day and simultaneously the cost of electricity is also increasing. The energy resources are also getting scarce day by day and therefore its time for the people to understand about the uses of the renewable energy resources. Energy of sun and wind are renewable sources of energy which can be used for number of purposes. The energy from the sun if used with the solar panel can help you to bring down your electricity bill to zero and therefore reduce the dependence on the fossil fuels.
Make your own solar panel
You can easily get the solar panels in the market which are made up of silicone of high quality. Why to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars if you can make your own solar panel? Making solar panel is not at all difficult job. In order to build a working solar panel all you need is a little effort, simple materials like electric stove, solar cells, copper wire, plastic or glass container of wide mouth, a multi-meter, copper sheet etc.
Before you start building a solar panel select or identify a place in your garden, roof or backyard where the sun rays are received the most. Solar cells should receive at least 6 hours of direct sunlight to work effectively.
A solar cell can easily make a solar power panel. This is how you can make your own solar panel. Place the solar cells or stack the solar cells horizontally and connect these cells which each other. After connecting the solar cells start of with cutting the sheet of copper which can match the size of the electric stove you have purchased. Clean the copper sheet with the help of sand paper as it will eliminate any traces of sulphide. Then start the electric stove to the maximum till the copper sheet changes its color and becomes a thick layer of black coat. Then slowly and steadily make efforts to cool the copper sheet and the stove. When you cool off the copper sheet you will find the layer of red cuprous oxide on the sheet. After this process join the red cuprous copper sheet with a clean copper sheet using the alligator clips and put it into a plastic or glass contained which has a wide mouth making sure that they do not get in touch with other and fill the container with saltwater leaving the clips dry. Ensure that you connect the red cuprous sheet with the negative terminal. Then connect the solar panel to a battery or inventor. That is how you make your own solar panel. Are you a person who is interested in green energy and using Solar Energy Panels or creating your own Home Wind Power, then you are just like myself. The last time my friends and I tried, it took us a long time trying to figure out how to make sense of the free information and it was a frustrating experience. We then decided to download a paid guide which of course made it a breeze for us to set up our very first power system. Therefore, keep this in mind as you learn how to build homemade solar panels yourself.
